Skewered or Barbecued Chicken Gizzards, Filipino Street Food

I think Chicken Gizzard barbecue is the ultimate Filipino street food. And what I meant by that is, it is my favorite. It is a food juxtaposition. People who are either suicidal or just unintelligently brave, eat the part that has 75% fat in it – the chicken’s skin. Even though we don’t read, we are not suicidal, we are all brawn and no brain and can pile drive any sort of fowl. Not to mention, the taste of chicken breast compared to chicken skin is like comparing the blind …

What is Filipino Food?

Filipino food is not Chinese food. If it is, our Adobo (marinated meat) would be steamed chicken with soy sauce. It is neither Spanish food. If it is, we wouldn’t be eating rice like breathing air. Filipino food is not American food. If it is, Jollibee would have  bigger servings. True? If you don’t agree with me, next time you’re in NY try convincing the hotdog vendor that his dogs are not american hotdogs… in fact it is German because that’s where all the sausages come from. Then brace yourself.
Filipino food …
