First Time Visit?
Shake, rattle and roll.
It is your destiny to be here.
To encapsulate what this site is about plainly and simply – This site wants the world to know about Filipino food.
You may have arrived here just to browse a recipe, an image or a subject but you are a gene thread of this site now. Our Filipino mumbo jumbo has infected you already. It’s too late to not be a part of the program. Even if you close this window, you will think about Filipino food, it will haunt you in your sleep, it will be the random thought that will occur to you first thing in the morning and in one way or another, you will be back in here… at myfilipinokitchen.com
Resistance is futile.
So breathe deep. Do it. you need it.
Let me brief you on the divine 7-step enlightenment for you to partake on letting the world know about Filipino food through this website.
1. You will tell someone about what the heck of a site www.myfilipinokitchen.com is. You will talk about this site like that time when you were in love and you can’t stop talking about that person. We’ll give you leeway, you can either talk about your disgust of what you have read here (that’s good you are still reading), or you can just say “myfilipinokitchen.com” all day. You are now in a trance.
2. You will post a link of this website in your social media account. You can be angry, you can even say we are ridiculous, you can even tell the world that www.myfilipinokitchen.com hit a “nice try” on you. You can do it. Do it. Do.
3. You will start to eat copious amounts of Filipino food. Even if you are eating potatoes, you will think it is Filipino food. In the top right hand corner is a search box there. Type in “What is Filipino Food”. Don’t forget the quotation marks.
Good you are still reading. The spirit moves in you. Touch a random body part.
4. You will find yourself in this website whenever there is a new post. We don’t need to tell you. You will know.
5. You will not comment on any post because that’s how you browse the internet. Even if you have a burning question. But when your mind is blank and you do not even care what the post is about, on that instant, only then that your flesh will be more willing than your spirit. You will see your fingers pushing on the keyboard and making thoughtful comments. As if you are intelligent.
6. You will cook the recipes in this website. You will take a picture. You will write about your thoughts while making the recipe. You will send it to seigfred[at]myfilipinokitchen[dot]com. You will be on the headline of www.myfilipinokitchen.com. Even if you have to cook the recipes in a toaster, you will do it.
7. You will send me an email and tell me you are interested to be a regular writer in this website. You will read this post a thousand times. You will talk, think, write and go to the toilet for Filipino food and you will not and cannot stop yourself from writing about Filipino food because one day, you will write that article that will be the cornerstone of how the world knew about Filipino food. You are The One.
Now… take your clothes off.
